One of the most stunning Victorian lockets I’ve ever had. A highly detailed large anchor with a glass locket compartment at back and an exquisite bloomed finish. May have been intended for a wife or mother of someone at sea, or strictly for the symbolism associated with anchors, such as hope, steadfastness, and safety. Anchors were extremely popular motifs in Victorian jewelry.
Though it tests higher, it is stamped 14k with a series of unknown hallmarks.
Weighs 21.3 grams
Measures 3 inches long (including the amazing large bail) by 1.25 inches wide
