Victorian Diamond Bangle
Circa 1890-1910: an 18k gold hinged bangle with three bright, twinkling star set diamonds. The center diamond is a .60 carat old European cut diamond (F/G SI), and the two diamonds on either side are old rose cuts. The gold on this one is so rich and the patina is incredible. It just glows. The bangle opens and shut with a hinge to one side and has a safety chain. It is in excellent antique condition, with wear commensurate with age. Weighs over 20 grams. Measures a 1/2 inch wide.
It is a comfortable oval shaped bangle, which measures 2 1/2 inches across by 2 1/4 inches. It fits a medium sized wrist: perfect for a 7 inch (or thereabouts) wrist or if you like it loose, a 6.5 inch wrist.
